FAQs
Q1. How much NanoStabilizer®-LSO should I use with my extract or isolate? What is the recommended extract or isolate concentration in the nanoemulsion?
We recommend using 4 parts of NanoStabilizer®-LSO to 1 part of your bioactive extract or isolate by mass. The best concentration (corresponding to the lowest droplet size) is typically 20 mg/ml, especially if your intention is to ultimately convert this nanoemulsion into a water-soluble powder.
Q2. Is NanoStabilizer®-LSO natural? Since its formulation is proprietary, how can I list the ingredients on my product labels?
Yes, NanoStabilizer®-LSO is an all-in-one blend of natural and organic, tasteless carrier oils, emulsifiers, and humectants. A specifications sheet (with a list of ingredients) and a certificate of analysis are provided with purchase.
Q3. Can I purchase NanoStabilizer®-LSO if I do not have an Industrial Sonomechanics ultrasonic processor?
Yes, you can. Please keep in mind, however, that NanoStabilizer®-LSO was designed to work in conjunction with our high-amplitude Barbell Horn® Ultrasonic Technology-based processors. Since third-party technology cannot be expected to establish the combination of processing conditions required for the correct performance of this product, we would not be able to provide any SOPs nor assist you with the process. You are welcome, however, to use the SOPs we do provide (available on ISM Knowledge Hub).
Q4. What is the shelf life of NanoStabilizer-LSO and the resulting nanoemulsions?
NanoStabilizer®-LSO has a shelf life of 1 year and should be stored at 4 - 10 oC. A correctly prepared nanoemulsion will exhibit permanent kinetic stability against oil-phase separation. To maximize its shelf life, pass your nanoemulsion through a 1 micron-pore filter and store it in a dark-glass autoclaved container at 4 - 10 oC.
NanoStabilizer®-LT
Commercially produce translucent liquid nanoemulsions of bioactive extracts and isolates without having to develop formulations and processing procedures.
NanoStabilizer®-LT is a proprietary all-in-one blend of ingredients necessary to ultrasonically nano-emulsify lipophilic bioactive extracts (full- and broad-spectrum oils, distillates, isolates, vitamins, essential oils, terpenes, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals). It comprises food-grade (GRAS) carrier oils, emulsifiers, and preservatives, all tasteless and derived from natural sources.
Benefits
- Commercially produce nanoemulsions of bioactive extracts or isolates without having to develop formulations and processing procedures.
- Achieve droplet sizes of 10 - 50 nm at bioactive concentrations up to 50 mg/ml, ensuring permanent water-compatibility, translucency and long-term stability.
- Significantly accelerate the onset of action, improve the bioavailability and ensure reproducible dosing.
- Easily sterile-filter to eliminate any microbial or particulate contamination.
FAQs
Q1. How much NanoStabilizer®-LT should I use with my extract or isolate?
When making a highly translucent nanoemulsion, we recommend using 5 parts of NanoStabilizer®-LT to 1 part of your bioactive extract or isolate by mass (5:1 ratio). A lower ratio may be used if translucency is not essential.
Q2. Since the formulation of NanoStabilizer®-LT is proprietary, how can I list the ingredients on my product labels?
A specifications sheet (with a list of NanoStabilizer®-LT ingredients) and a certificate of analysis is provided with purchase. NanoStabilizer®-LT comprises food-grade (GRAS) carrier oils, emulsifiers and preservatives, all tasteless and derived from natural sources.
Q3. Can I purchase NanoStabilizer®-LT if I do not have an Industrial Sonomechanics ultrasonic processor?
Yes, you can. Please keep in mind, however, that NanoStabilizer®-LT was designed to work in conjunction with our high-amplitude Barbell Horn® Ultrasonic Technology-based processors. Since third-party technology cannot be expected to establish the combination of processing conditions required for the correct performance of this product, we would not be able to provide SOPs nor assist you with the process. You are welcome, however, to use the SOPs we do provide (available on ISM Knowledge Hub).
Q4. What is the shelf life of NanoStabilizer®-LT and the resulting nanoemulsions?
NanoStabilizer®-LT has a shelf life of 1 year and should be stored at 4 - 10 oC. A correctly prepared translucent nanoemulsion will exhibit permanent kinetic stability against oil-phase separation. To maximize its shelf life, sterilize your nanoemulsion using a 220 nm-pore filter and store it in a dark-glass autoclaved container at 4 - 10 oC.
NanoStabilizer®-LSSP
Commercially produce water-soluble nanoemulsions of kava, mushroom, and kratom extracts without having to develop formulations and processing procedures.
NanoStabilizer®-LSSP is a proprietary all-natural formulation designed to enable ultrasonic nano-emulsification of bioactive extracts that are poorly soluble in both water and oil. This includes kratom and mushroom alkaloids, kava kavalactones, and many other challenging ingredients. It consists entirely of tasteless and natural plant-based emulsifiers. Nanoemulsions produced with NanoStabilizer®-LSSP can be maintained in liquid form or converted into water-soluble powders without the need for any additional ingredients.
Benefits
- Commercially produce nanoemulsions of bioactive extracts from kratom, kava and mushrooms without having to develop formulations and processing procedures.
- Achieve extremely small droplet sizes at high bioactive concentrations, ensuring complete water-compatibility and long-term stability.
- Significantly accelerate the onset of action, improve the bioavailability and ensure reproducible dosing.
- Easily convert the liquid nanoemulsions into water-soluble powders without requiring any additional ingredients.
FAQs
Q1. How much NanoStabilizer®-LSSP should I use with my kratom, kava or mushroom extract? What is the recommended extract concentration in the nanoemulsion?
For best results, we recommend using 3 parts of NanoStabilizer®-LSSP to 1 part of bioactive extract (by mass). This ratio can typically be reduced to 2:1 if desired, lowering material costs and increasing bioactive loading in powdered nanoemulsions, albeit with a modest increase in median droplet size. The recommended bioactive concentration in the liquid nanoemulsion is 50 mg/ml, though it can also be adjusted as needed. For optimal performance, we suggest maintaining concentrations within the 20 - 100 mg/ml range.
Q2. Is NanoStabilizer®-LSSP natural? Since it's formulation is proprietary, how can I list the ingredients on my product labels?
Yes, NanoStabilizer®-LSSP is an all-in-one blend of plant-derived natural emulsifiers. A specifications sheet (with a list of ingredients) and a certificate of analysis is provided with purchase.
Q3. Can I purchase NanoStabilizer®-LSSP if I do not have an Industrial Sonomechanics ultrasonic processor?
Yes, you can. Please keep in mind, however, that NanoStabilizer®-LSSP was designed to work in conjunction with our high-amplitude Barbell Horn® Ultrasonic Technology-based processors. Since third-party technology cannot be expected to establish the combination of processing conditions required for the correct performance of this product, we would not be able to provide any SOPs nor assist you with the process. You are welcome, however, to adjust the SOPs we provide for our ISM processor (available on ISM Knowledge Hub) to fit your equipment and volumes.
Q4. What is the shelf life of NanoStabilizer-LSSP and the resulting nanoemulsions?
NanoStabilizer®-LSTM has the shelf life of 1 year and should be stored at 4 - 10 oC. A correctly prepared nanoemulsion will exhibit permanent kinetic stability against oil-phase separation. To maximize its shelf life, pass your nanoemulsion through a 1 micron-pore filter and store it in a dark-glass autoclaved container at 4 - 10 oC.
